Don Allen and Tom Brashler collectively have more than 60 years of real estate experience spanning all facets of the acquisition, development, operation, disposition and capitalization of real estate. It is this breadth of knowledge and experience that allows Monroe to be successful in ever-changing economic conditions.
Don has extensive experience acquiring, developing, financing and selling real estate. He is skilled in recognizing attractive real estate opportunities and implementing the steps necessary to make each project a success.
Before forming Monroe, Don spent 15 years in commercial real estate acquisition, sales and development at firms that include Hiffman Shafer Associates, Inc.; Colliers, Bennett & Kahnweiler; Rubloff, Inc.; and VMS Realty Partners.
Don holds an MBA from Columbia University with concentrations in real estate and finance and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
As a seasoned attorney, Tom brings experience in all areas of real estate to Monroe, including financing, acquisitions and sales, construction and development, leasing and management, and entity organization.
Before joining Monroe in 2001, Tom practiced real estate and corporate law for more than 20 years on behalf of investors, developers and institutions. He was a partner at Chicago law firms Portes, Sharp, Herbst and Kravets, Ltd. and Schwartz & Freeman, and he founded Stahl Brashler LLC (now Stahl Cowen Crowley Addis LLC).
Tom earned his law degree from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
